Before building today's Sotou AI ecosystem, Robert co-owned an AI-powered data intelligence and content syndication platform that operated under his own Sotou AI brand and URL until September 2025.
The platform combined AI-driven press release and content distribution across dozens of languages, vertical industry data intelligence, blockchain-based content validation, and developer infrastructure, serving both enterprise and prosumer markets.
Robert guided its product vision, market positioning, commercialization strategy, and go-to-market planning.
Recognizing that artificial intelligence was entering a period of unprecedented acceleration driven by generative and agentic AI, Robert made the strategic decision to exit his platform ownership rather than deepen his commitment to a single product.
He retained his company and his brand, then built something broader on that foundation: Sotou AI, an independent ecosystem focused on practical AI education, strategy, implementation, and private AI systems.

Founder Story
Why I Built Sotou AI
Not a coder who learned AI. A business operator who learned how to apply it.
Robert François-André was born in Haiti in 1961 and came to New York in 1969 at the age of eight. Raised in the United States, he built a career that has spanned nearly every major technology and business transition of the last five decades.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he worked in military computing connected to the WWMCCS/SIOP environment, holding a Top Secret SIOP clearance. He moved into enterprise technology and data center operations at ADP, Chemical Bank, Deloitte Haskins & Sells, and Honeywell, working in COBOL, FORTRAN, and RPG II.
He became a Wall Street stockbroker at Shearson Lehman Brothers, Rimson Associates, and Willingham Partners. He built businesses, opening and selling two medical rehabilitation clinics, running marketing operations, and operating a freight and trucking company. Along the way, he coached and mentored youth athletes for years.
Then he co-owned and helped commercialize an AI platform under his own Sotou AI brand and made the strategic exit that became the foundation of today's ecosystem.
Robert has spent more than four decades navigating major technology transitions. Today, through Sotou AI, he helps people and organizations navigate the most significant transition yet: Artificial Intelligence.
